Useful, educational pregnancy book September 9, 2010 Curly (NH USA) Gives useful week-by-week guide to what pregnancy is about and what's going on in your body. Provides helpful information of how to deal with the changes going on in your body. There is information on so much in here - it's a bit of a bible of pregnancy, with info from conception (not useful if, like me, you wait until your 12 weeks pregnant to buy it!), scans, sex, sleep, problems you may have, tests on offer, right through to loads of info about birth.
Most of it seems useful so far and you can take or leave the information you don't want (e.g. I haven't invested in scales as my midwife says it's unnecessary as long as you're eating healthily).
I haven't got through it all yet as I'm only reading week by week but I certainly would recommend it to anyone who wants an informative guide that you can dip into for information and tips at any stage and with any "symptom"/body change that you're not sure about.
very informative August 20, 2010 K. Tucker (Dublin, Ireland) an easy to read, informative guide to pregnancy. Everything from first falling pregnant through to the first few months of baby's life. even tells you how to cope if you need to give birth at home! found it really useful.
Useful resource August 13, 2010 S L Smith (Nottingham) Only had this book a couple of weeks, and i've used it quite a few times. A really comprehensive reference guide to all the questions you might have. Glad i bought this.
A Must-Have for Mothers To Be August 12, 2010 N. Alp (Hertfordshire, UK) Excellent reference material.
Just straightforward factual useful.
Get this is you are a MTB!
Positive and non-judgmental August 12, 2010 Yoga Bird This is the only book I have purchased to guide me through pregnancy, so I'm unable to make comparions with others. I also haven't felt the need to buy any others, and feel that it gives me the information I need.
The writing style is easy and pleasant to read, and the advice is positive, and non-judgemental. It covers common concerns and has a reassuring tone.
I've been browsing through it most weeks to find out about progress through the pregnancy, both for the baby, and life as a preganant woman.
