Buy it. Don't mess about, Just Get On With It! January 22, 2010 Ian Ferguson (Scotland) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
My internal storyteller was about to tell me I'm not good at reviews when I caught him (her?) at it. Awareness of the stories and meanings I give to my thoughts is only one of the many transformational benefits I have gained from the book, Just Get On With It. Ali Campbell's wisdom really struck a chord with me. His is the only advice on finding a true purpose and path that has gelled with me and I'm well-read when it comes to self-help. Add to that Ali's insightful and funny personal stories and experiences and you have a invaluable guide to finding inner peace and a way to enjoy your life while still achieving purpose and meaning. I can't recommend it highly enough. Read it and you'll see what I mean.
No-nonsense useful self-help book? Good grief! January 6, 2010 I. C. Pizzie (Cheshire, UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have read many coaching and self-help books, and many are not really worth the effort. Ali Campbell's book, however, has a very different flavour to it. It is perhaps peculiarly British, and that is a compliment. I enjoyed the style of writing, the anecdotes, and examples from case studies. I really loved the allegory of the Duck on the M6, and actually would love to know where those services are, they sound like fun! I felt that Ali Campbell was truly interested in helping his readers, and that, although the message is not entirely new (what is?), he presnts it in an accessible form that will appeal to many. He combines exactly the right mixture of no-nonsense advice with the spiritual side of goal-setting and motivation that is so much more than more than the touchy-feely message in some books that are internationally renowned. The question "If you didn't know any better, what would you do now?" is a tour de force. It frees up the mind to come up with strategies and ideas. Great job, highly recommended.

Future Personal Development Classic January 2, 2010 Amy Palko (Stirling, Scotland) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
Just Get On With It ticks all the right boxes to become a future personal development classic. It's well-written, motivational, inspiring, entertaining and accessible. As other reviewers have already noted, Campbell's voice is strongly present throughout the prose, which gives the sense that you are receiving a personal coaching session by one of the best in the business. His use of personal anecdotes results in entertaining metaphors, which are then explained and deconstructed in order to teach readers how to stop sabotaging themselves and their potential. My particular favourite chapters which demonstrate this technique are 'Do You Have a Gay Boyfriend, Too?' and 'Are You a Duck on the M6?'
What I also appreciated was Campbell's use of contemporary context; the credit crunch and its effect on the motivational malaise of 2009 is touched upon, making this book a must-read for all those seeking a 2010 brimming with positive change.
The only tool you'll need in 2010 to accelerate your success! December 31, 2009 R. Crone (Scotland, UK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Ali Campbell's book offers a refreshing, amusing and quick read. As someone in the business of personal development, reading books like this is a main activity. Just Get On With It makes it on to my top ten list of books to have in your success library. It contains simple yet powerful tools, which will help you in making changes IF you APPLY them! I will be recommending this gem to friends and clients alike, as well as applying some of the principles myself. Particularly insightful are the suggestions around intuition versus logic. Now... Just Get On With It!
