I have to style my hair everyday as it's curly and flyaway and I'm in my 50's now so I'm a walking talking expert on hair dryers. I've always used a professional one but I wanted a spare back up. I've tried lots of hairdryers over the years - Braun, Sassoon etc and they are an exercise in frustration if you're used to powerful, hot hairdryers. Having read the excellent reviews for this BaByliss though I put my cynicism aside and ordered it. I have not been disappointed.
I will agree with those that say the on/off switch is awkward - it is. You'd struggle to manipulate it with one hand - you have to rest the hairdryer so you can lift your hand off it. And it doesn't blow air as strongly as my salon hairdryer - nevertheless it does the fast, styling straightening job I need it to and it's light in weight so easy to hold.
So despite the awkward on/off switch I'd say this is good value and a good product.

Well worth the money and dries my hair in no time which is a god send when rushing to get ready for work in a morning. Only one small drawback and that is does sound like a jet and would be easier on the ears if it was a bit quieter!!

Not sure were the 2200 watts power goes but is NOT into warm air, lacks power and feels cumbersome. dont like it, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

This is a fabulous value hairdryer, if it can get my hair looking smooth and lovely it is worth every penny!! So good I bought one for my friend too! Only slight criticism is the cord is a little on the short side.

This dryer is fine but like other reviewers I do find it a bit clumsy to operate given the position of the button for boost on the handle. It also weighs a fair bit more than my other Babyliss dryer which is the 5560CU Elegance which I much prefer. Bought this as my daughter kept 'borrowing' my other one, now wish I'd bought another of those. Still functions perfectly well and is quite solid, overall not bad but not great either.
