 Good product but overpriced in my opinion August 31, 2010

This product is good, moisturising and protecting the skin from abrasion of shaving and having a pleasant but gentle scent. It is obviously for the Nivea for Men Philips razors. It is easy to pump this product into the cartridge on the razor. Be careful not to try to fill it as it is so easy to overfill and thus waste product, even though it looks like it's not full from looking at the window. I would also add that this product is not meant to be used like shaving foam. If you have a lot of this stuff on your face with bits of stubble, then you are using too much. This is simply meant to be used as an agent to allow the razor to glide more easily over the skin and protect and moisturise it. I use one press to product a droplet on each of the two Nivea active heads before moving to a new area of the face.
I read somewhere that this should last 3 months. I don't think so. I don't shave every day, and I think I will get about 3 months out of it, but if you use it every day, with careful use of this product, I don't see how it would last 3 months.
On the whole, the product is good, but I think it is overpriced.

I am reviewing this on behalf of my partner and son who use this product with their Phillips Electric razor. I am told that it is wirth having your skin conditioned whilst shaving makes the experience so much better!
Even though it is quite an expensive product for what it is it does last a few months at a time.

This product is a BIG improvement on the original conditioner supplied with the Philips shavers. I still get the occaisional irritable rash but I think that is more down to technique of use, and frequency of shaving.

I have owned a Philips Coolskin razor (HS8460) for a couple of years so this is not the first time I have purchased the conditioner required to refill. However, Amazon offers the cheapest around. Cheaper than ALL high street stores.
The product itself is great, very smooth shave even if it is used out of the shower. I find that it not three months supply (as specified on the packaging) Although I suppose it is individually dependant.
**A tip for you- if you use the automatic refill/charge station: Once the station stops refilling (empty bottle) remove and inject directly into the cartridge -there is always a residual amount left in the can. This method gives you atleast one more full cartridge.
